Best Street Studios is excited to announce the very first Artist in Residence for 2009. Eleanora will be travelling from Italy and will be in Wagga Wagga from 25th July 2009. During her stay in Wagga Wagga Elanora will be conducting a number fo workshops in her speciality ITALIAN GLAZE DECORATION TECHNIQUES (MAJOLICA).

Best Street Studios is pleased to announce the term one timetable for 2009, with plenty of new and exciting courses on offer.
TERM COURSES PROGRAM
Term One February 9 – April 9 (9 weeks)
Adult Courses
$25 per week ($225 per term) plus materials
Students must enrol and pay for a full term
Children Courses
Full term: $25 per week ($225 per term) plus $30 material fee (one off payment for term)Casual Students: $30 per week plus $3.50 material fee
All student fees must be booked and paid prior to courses commencing

WANTED: local art tutors to teach 2009 courses
After years of providing quality art workshops in Wagga Wagga, Best Street Studios is responding to the local demand for increased creative workshops and courses, and is calling for expressions of interest from local artists/tutors who have an artistic skill that they are willing to pass on to others.
Kathryn Powderly has been teaching clay and mosaic courses to children and adults for some years now and also offers fabulous school holiday programs for children. She is extremely passionate about making art accessible to everyone and allowing them to experience the joy and satisfaction that comes from art.
Best Street Studios is now aiming to expand the workshop series and offer a range of workshops in various art mediums, taught by various artists from the region. The aim for Best Street Studios is to be the matchmaker between the community desire to create and those in the community with artistic skills to pass on.
Requests have been made for workshops such as; wood carving, metal sculpture, textiles, beading, jewellery, creative writing, printmaking, watercolor, drawing, pastels and HSC preparation.
Best Street Studios is calling for expressions of interest from local artists who are interested in teaching a workshop throughout 2009. Days and times are flexible, the priority will be offering high demand and quality workshops at a time that suits the appropriate market.
